Popular payment apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm in India are also offering a quick and simple UPI process to make real-time payments across India in a matter of seconds.

However, due to the recent surge in online scams and UPI frauds, it is important to protect your UPI transactions by creating a strong UPI PIN and changing it regularly.
Since a UPI PIN is one of the most important steps in performing a UPI transaction, it is important that you decide it carefully and keep it confidential.
Never share your UPI PIN with anybody, else you could very easily fall prey to fraudsters. To change your UPI PIN on PayTM, Google Pay And PhonePe, you can follow these simple tips.
TO CHANGE YOUR UPI PIN USING GOOGLE PAY:
– Open Google Pay .
– At the top right, tap your photo.
– Tap Bank account.
– Tap the bank account you want to edit.
– Tap More Change UPI PIN.
– Create a new UPI PIN.
– Enter the same UPI PIN again.

TO RESET YOUR UPT PIN ON THE PHONEPE APP
– Open PhonePe app
– Tap your profile picture on the PhonePe app home screen.
– Select the bank account under the Payment Methods section by scrolling to your right.
– Tap Reset UPI PIN under that account.
– Enter your Debit/ATM card details for that account.
– Enter the 6-digit OTP that you receive through SMS on your registered mobile number.
– Enter the 4-digit ATM PIN for your Debit/ATM card.
– Enter the new 4 or 6 digit BHIM UPI PIN that you wish to set for the account.
– Confirm the PIN by entering it again.
– Tap Confirm.

TO CHANGE YOUR UPI PIN ON THE PAYTM APP
– Open Paytm on your mobile phone.
– Tap on the ‘Profile’ icon in the top left corner of the Paytm mobile application
– In the left sidebar that opens, scroll down to the ‘Payment Settings’ option and click on it
– Next, click on the ‘UPI & Linked Bank Accounts’ option and you will be able to see the list of your linked bank accounts.
– Beneath the bank account whose pin you want to change, click on the ‘Change PIN’ option
– For safety purposes, you will be asked to enter the last 6 digits of your debit card along with its expiry and validity date
– Click on ‘Proceed’
– Enter the old UPI PIN and then enter the new UPI PIN that you want to set.
– Confirm the process and proceed.
– You will receive a notification for confirmation of your UPI PIN change!
