The DMRC has also announced the last Metro train service on the Diwali day.
Attention to the commuters of Delhi Metro! The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has modified its train services later this week. According to a statement by DMRC, on the day of the Diwali festival, i.e. on November 12, 2023 (Sunday), the metro train will commence from 06:00 hrs onwards on all lines except Airport Express Line (AEL). On AEL, the metro services will start from 04:45 hrs.
Last Delhi Metro Timing
The DMRC has also announced the last Metro train service on the Diwali day. The last train will leave at 22:00 hrs from the terminal stations of all Lines including Airport Express Line. Usually, the last train departs from all terminal stations at 23:00 hrs.
Train services affected on Pink Line
On Wednesday, the train services on Pink Line i.e. Majlis Park-Maujpur Metro corridor was affected on the Down Line (going from Majlis Park towards Maujpur) from 08:25 hrs to 10:09 hrs due to a technical fault observed in a Train as it approached Durgabai Deshmukh Metro Station. Following the incident, the DMRC has taken a few steps to regulate the metro services on this corridor. These are as follows:
- The trains were available at a lesser headway in the section during this period.
- The metro train services on the remaining section of the Pink Line from Majlis Park to Mayapuri and Lajpat Nagar to Maujpur were running normally during this period on both the tracks.
- The regular announcements were done at station premises and inside the trains to inform the passengers.

DMRC’s fifth Yamuna bridge to be completed by next year
The construction of the fifth metro bridge over Yamuna river is set to be completed by September 2024. As of now, 50 per cent work of the bridge has been completed. The bridge has two modules of 290 metres each. Of these, one module has been completed. The bridge is a part of the Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor being built under the Phase IV project.
