Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed the officials to take strict legal action against people involved in land-grabbing activities. The chief minister was listening to the grievances of nearly 300 people during a ‘Janata Darshan’ event in the Gorakhnath temple premises.

Adityanath’s instruction came after a woman said that she did not have a permanent house due to poor financial condition and that her land was forcibly occupied by a person. Following her complaint, the chief minister asked the officials to free her land from illegal encroachment as soon as possible.
The UP CM assured everyone that their grievances would be resolved satisfactorily and added that those without houses would receive housing facilities under the government scheme. He also stated that adequate financial assistance will be provided for the treatment of serious diseases. “Illegal occupation of anyone’s land will not be allowed. Strict legal action will be ensured against the land mafia,” the chief minister said, as quoted by PTI.

People in huge amounts gathered in the ‘Janata Darshan’ event to seek financial assistance for the treatment of serious diseases. Adityanath assured them that the chief minister’s discretionary budget would be used to cover all of their expenses. To provide the necessary funds, he gave the officials instructions to expedite the cost estimation of treatment and transmit it to the government.
