The Bharatiya Janata Party’s manifesto for the Chhattisgarh assembly polls will be launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Raipur on Friday. Meanwhile, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that there is no competition on who will be the Prime Minister’s face within the party, adding that PM Narendra Modi will always be at the forefront.

- Ahead of the assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will launch BJP’s manifesto in Raipur at 2 pm on Friday.
- Bhupesh Baghel slammed the ED investigations into a money laundering case — which was filed in 2022 — and called the agency’s probe to be biased.
- Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that Narendra Modi, their top leader, will always be BJP’s face. There is no competition on who will be PM in BJP, Tomar said. While he also praised Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and said that his work has expanded the party’s influence among the public, adding that whatever will be decided for Chouhan and the party by the top leadership in MP will be accepted.
- Samajwadi party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday said that members of the INDIA bloc will not be disappointed and will be given proper honour and respect. This comes a day after his party indicated that it would contest on 65 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2024 polls.
- The nomination filing process for the Telangana assembly polls would begin on Friday with a gazette notification being issued for the conduct of election.
- In Rajasthan, 32 candidates with criminal background have filed nomination papers for the assembly elections in the last four days, an official said on Thursday. Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said 241 candidates have filed nomination papers across the state in the last four days, adding that, of the total, 32 have criminal background. - Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has alleged that Congress wants to win the Chhattisgarh polls with the support of Naxalites. Sarma — while addressing a rally in Manpur — said Left Wing Extremism will be eradicated within a year in case the BJP comes to power in the state.
- The Assam CM also claimed that religious conversions were taking place openly under the Congress government of Bhupesh Baghel, and questioned if the chief minister wanted to eliminate Sanatan Dharma.
- Setting the target of winning 150-plus seats in Madhya Pradesh’s assembly polls, the Congress has planned several rallies of its senior leaders, including party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, in the coming days till the poll campaign ends. Kharge is scheduled to address two rallies in Jabalpur district on Saturday, a senior Congress leader said. After him, two other senior leaders of the Congress – its former president Rahul Gandhi and his sister and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra – will keep visiting the state to canvas for the party candidates till campaigning ends on November 15.
- Mizoram’s opposition party Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) on Thursday said it will not forge an alliance with the BJP even if it fails to secure a majority in the assembly elections in the state. ZPM’s working chairman K Sapdanga made the announcement after the Congress accused the party of entering into a “secret understanding” with the BJP for forming a post-poll alliance. the BJP also said that it would join hands with either the ruling MNF or the ZPM, whoever gets more seats in the elections.
