His appeal came at a time when Wazirpur recorded an AQI of 763, Anand Vihar saw and AQI of 713 and Okhla’s air quality was recorded at 671.

“We are in that time of the year where pollution has started to increase once again. The number of patients with breathing problems have increased. More people have coughs, cold, water and irritation in their eyes, and breathing problems. People of every age are affected,” Dr Modi added.
The Air Quality Index (AQI level) in Delhi remains in ‘hazardous’ category, data from Central Pollution Control Board stated on Friday (November 3) morning. The AQI at Indira Gandhi International Airport was recorded at 473, the levels is Dwarka sector 8 was 480, ITO recorded 433 AQI, 438 in Lodhi Road, 486 in RK Puram and over 500 in Anand Vihar.
According to Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB), Noida sector 62 saw 483 AQI and Noida sector 125 recorded 400 AQI. Data from Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) stated that Gurugram sector 51 saw 307 AQI and NISE Gwal Pahari recorded 438 AQI.
All government and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next two days in view of rising pollution levels, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced Thursday night. Pollution levels in the national capital entered the “severe” zone for the first time this season on Thursday, with scientists warning of a further spike over the next two weeks.
In a post on ‘X’, the chief minister said, “In light of the rising pollution levels, all govt and private primary schools in Delhi will remain closed for the next 2 days.”

In a separate communication, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) said physical classes in its schools will remain closed for the next two days.
“In pursuance to order of Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas, it is decided that classes will be held through online mode in all MCD and MCD-aided schools on November 3 and 4. However, schools will remain open for teachers and staff,” the civic body stated.
Air Pollution in Mumbai
The AQI in Mumbai was slightly better as compared to yesterday. The overall AQI was recorded at 125. However, some areas like Chembur (TISS) and Coloba saw an AQI of 219 and 238, respectively.
