Google Inc, the tech giant, has secured office space encompassing an entire floor within the Nucleus Office Parks’ commercial tower, Fintech One, located in the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) in Gandhinagar.

according to The Economic Times report. This space will serve as the foundation for its global fintech center.
According to The Economic Times report, Google India, the Indian subsidiary of Google, has finalised a long-term lease agreement with Nucleus Office Parks, spanning a period of 10 years, comprising an initial five-year term with the option to extend for an additional five years.
During a virtual interaction, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended a warm welcome to Google’s initiative to establish its global fintech operations center at GIFT City. Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google and Alphabet, briefed Modi on Google’s commitment to enhancing financial inclusion in India by leveraging the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).

Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi via a social media post, Pichai described their meeting as “terrific” and reiterated Google’s dedication to India.
The Economic Times report added that Fintech One is a 20-story commercial office tower, with each floor covering approximately 22,000 square feet. Notably, other global entities such as IBM have also secured office spaces within this tower. IBM has already begun its operations on three floors, and other companies are in the process of setting up their workspaces.
As of now, Google operates five offices throughout India, with its country headquarters in Hyderabad, and additional offices in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurgaon, and Pune. The most recent addition to this list is the Pune office, which occupies a significant 1 lakh square feet within a co-working center in Mundhwa.

The report added that Google is in the process of constructing its largest campus outside of the United States, which is set to be located in Hyderabad, underscoring the company’s substantial commitment to India’s dynamic and growing tech landscape.
