While October is turning out to be quite eventful in terms of OTT releases. Karan Johar brought the best icing on the cake in the form of announcing his ever popular chat show Koffee With Karan’s new season.
Going by his new promos, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani filmmaker has promised that the season 8 won’t be thanda like the previous one and this time the conversations between him and the guests will go beyond marriages, who’s dating who, airport looks and social media.

Johar has apparently met his ‘Konscience’ and has plans to bring out the fun and no-filter side of the guests.
Ever since the announcement, the internet is busy speculating the guest list. As per a fresh report by News 18, looks like Karan Johar’s friend-turned-foe-turned friend again Kartik Aaryan will most likely make an appearance. It has raised the excitement levels of fans because there’s a possibility that the duo might share details about their public fallout which had become a big topic of discussion in the past.

Why Did Karan Johar Have A Fall Out With Kartik Aaryan?
It came to light when Kartik Aaryan was suddenly dropped from KJo’s Dostana 2. The movie had gone on floors before the pandemic and as per reports, Kartik along with the film’s cast had already shot for their parts. Creative differences between the actor and the filmmaker caused the rift where Aaryan was also rumoured of being unprofessional. However, Kartik kept his silence and didn’t react to the same for the longest time.
When Kartik appeared on Rajat Sharma’s Aap ki Adalat, he was asked the reason behind dropping out from Dostana 2. The actor was quoted as saying ‘This happens sometimes. I haven’t spoken about this before.I believe in what my mother has taught me and these are my value too… when there’s an altercation between two people, the younger one should never speak about it. I follow that and hence I never speak about it.’
Kartik was further asked if the reason behind him leaving the project was money, he clarified, “This is like Chinese whispers, a make belief story. I have never left a film because of money. I am very greedy, but in terms of script and not money.’
However, Kartik revealed the actual reason was some pre-planned changes that had taken place in the script, which could not happen.
For the unversed, Karan gave a shout out to Kartik when the Shehzada trailer was released and praised him on Instagram.

There’s also buzz around how this duo might come together for another project soon. As for Koffee With Karan, if Aaryan does make an appearance, the duo is likely to clear the air around their alleged feud.
“There’s still no clarity as to who Kartik will come with but he’s likely to be seen on the Koffee couch for the second time. The duo has decided on sorting out their differences and the episode might also see them addressing the many reports of their alleged tiff,” the News 18 source said.
Kartik had previously made an appearance on the show alongside Kriti Sanon in season 6.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have already shot for their episode, as per reports
According to grapevine, DeepVeer will be making an appearance together for the first time and have already shot for their episode.
Deepika Padukone has previously been on the show with Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt whereas Ranveer Singh has paired up with Anushka Sharma, Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Alia Bhatt.
Apart from this couple, other guests that are likely to make an appearance on Koffee With Karan are The Archies trio of Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor and Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan
Koffee With Karan together will begin streaming on Disney+Hotstar from October 26th.
