OnePlus could be looking to launch one of its smartphones in a red colourway and better specifications. Here’s what we know so far.
OnePlus may be planning to introduce a new special edition red variant of one of its smartphones during Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sale this month, according to a new banner listing on the website.
It’s not exactly clear which smartphone OnePlus will launch in red, but multiple online reports suggest that it could be the OnePlus 11R. The base variant of the OnePlus 11R currently retails for Rs 39,999 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. However, the new red variant could feature up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage capacity.
The cryptic banner text, which says ‘R3.18.512,’ could be interpreted as such—18 representing the RAM and 512 representing the storage. However, this is purely speculative at this point and should be taken with a grain of salt.
That being said, the OnePlus 11R is the company’s mid-tier offering, positioned between the OnePlus Nord 3 phones and the flagship OnePlus 11, and has proven to be a popular choice among consumers looking for a phone under Rs 40,000.
Notable tipster and YouTuber, Mukul Sharma on X, said that the said red coloured phone in speculation could the be OnePlus 11R’s Red Vegan leather variant.
