The South Korean car manufacturer Kia recently updated its SUV and MPV lineup by adding the Seltos Facelift and Carens to the portfolio. Both the vehicles received an overwhelming response from the customers. Now, the company is all set to hike the price range on both cars, starting from October.

It has been reported that the price hike will impact on both base and top models. The lower trims might see a price hike of around Rs 20,000. While the top models are likely to become costly by Rs 40,000. However, Kia has not revealed the new price range as yet.

While confirming the news, National Head (Sales and Marketing) at Kia
India, Hardeep Brar said that the steps have been taken amid the rise of production costs. He said there are a lot of car makers who have already hiked the price post-April. But, Kia was the only one that did not take that step. Now, the prices of raw materials are skyrocketing. So, the company had to take the decision, Brar added.

Kia Seltos Price
Meanwhile, the 2023 Kia Seltos was launched in July at the starting price of Rs 10,89 lakh (ex-showroom), which goes up to 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for top models. In order to attract new customers, the firm also added two new trims in the series, which come under the price range between 19.40 lakh and
219.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
KIA SELTOS ENGINE
The vehicle is powered by a G1.5 T-GDi Petrol engine, which generates a max output of 158 bhp 253 Nm of peak Torque. The SUV is being offered in three trim concepts – GT Line, Tech Line, and X-Line, with a choice of five transmission options and three engines.
