On this occasion, there will be a holiday in banks at different places on 18th, 19th and 20th September. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar for 2023-24, banks in the following states/cities will remain closed on September 18, 19 and 20, 2023 on account of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Banks In The States Below Are Closed On These Days For Ganesh Chaturthi:
September 18, 2023 – (Monday) Banks will remain closed in Karnataka and Telangana on the occasion of Vinayak Chaturthi
September 19, 2023 – (Tuesday) Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Goa on Ganesh Chaturthi
September 20, 2023 – (Wednesday) Banks will remain closed in Orissa and Goa due to Ganesh Chaturthi (second day) and Nuakhai.

September 22, 2023- There will be a holiday in banks in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.
September 23, 2023- Banks will remain closed across the country due to the fourth Saturday.

September 25, 2023- There will be a holiday in banks in Guwahati and Ranchi on the birth anniversary of Srimanta Shankardev.
September 27, 2023- Bank holiday in Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram on Milad-e-Sherif.
September 28, 2023- On the occasion of Eid-e-Milad, there will be a holiday in banks in Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur and Ranchi.
September 29, 2023- Banks will remain closed in Gangtok, Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi.

Will Stock Markets (BSE, NSE) remain closed tomorrow on Ganesh Chaturthi?
There will be no action on the bourses tomorrow, September 19. Both the stock exchanges, NSE and BSE, will remain closed on that day on account of Ganesh Chaturthi. The equity, equity derivatives, currency derivatives, interest rate derivatives as well as securities lending and borrowing (SLB) segments will be unavailable on September 19.
Commodity exchange Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will also remain closed for trading tomorrow for the morning session, which starts at 9 am and ends at 5 pm on trading days. The exchange will be open for the evening session that day, from 5 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm.
