As many as 14 people, including passengers and crew, lost their lives in a devastating plane crash that occurred in Barcelos, Brazil, on Saturday. The ill-fated aircraft, a Bandeirante model, was carrying a total of 12 tourists, accompanied by the pilot and co-pilot, as confirmed by Civil Defence authorities. Aircraft and operator details
The ill-fated aircraft was registered under Manaus Taxi Aereo and held the necessary authorizations to perform air taxi services, according to the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac). Manaus Aerotáxi, the company operating the aircraft, issued a statement confirming the involvement of a PT-SOG plane in the accident.
They expressed their commitment to adhering to civil aviation authority requirements for airworthiness and pledged to provide clarity on all aspects of the tragic incident, extending their thoughts and prayers to those affected.
