Parambil said that after the CBI report gave a clean chit to Chandy, people who hounded the late congress leader with fake facts from the letter, purportedly written by the complainant, in the solar scam must apologise to him.
“The CBI closure report in court says that there is no evidence to support the complainant’s claims of sexual assault by former CM Oommen Chandy. This discussion should not end without apologising to former Chief Minister Chandy.
Based on a fraudster’s statement there were allegations raised against a man above 70 years, who had been an MLA for the past so many years,” he said.

Shafi asked Pinarayi Vijayan whether he sat on the chair of the Chief Minister in 2016 on the “sponsorship of Solar scam accused” as “the complainant was summoned by the government on the third day” after he took over the state’s rein.
The opposition leader demanded a discussion on the CBI report alleging conspiracy against Oommen Chandy in the sexual assault case related to the solar scam.
Opposition leader VD Satheeshan also hit out at the government and said that those who tried to crucify Oommen Chandy all his life are now saying he was a great leader.
“CBI has 100 per cent exonerated Oommen Chandy in the sexual allegations by the accused in the solar scam. The report says that the allegation originated from the letter written by the complainant. This is a criminal conspiracy, somebody purchased the complaint by giving Rs 50 lakhs. Before the 2021 elections, CM Vijayan referred the matter to CBI. For the last seven years, they have been hunting Oommen Chandy,” said Satheeshan.
