OnePlus appears to be working on a new Android tablet after launching its first OnePlus Pad this year. The new OnePlus device, as spotted by tipster @1NormalUsername and reported by Android Authority, might be called the OnePlus Pad Go. It might be likely that the Go edition might be a toned-down variant of the premium OnePlus Pad if it goes by the Android Go name scheme, which is a toned-down version of the regular Android operating system. OnePlus is yet to confirm the launch.

The tipster spotted the model number “OPD2304.” Notably, the same model number also appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards forum — the government agency for developing and maintaining standards to ensure the quality and safety of products and services in the Indian market. It also suggests that the so-called OnePlus Pad Go may launch in India.
The BIS forum also points out two more models — OPD2304 and OPD2305. These may likely belong to two variants of the OnePlus Pad Go.

If the speculation is accurate, the OnePlus Pad Go might be much more affordable than the regular Rs 37,999-worth OnePlus Pad tablet. It is also possible that OnePlus may drop the “Go” from the moniker, as the company already sells products for the masses under the Nord series. A “Go” edition might also get confusing for its own fans and potential customers.
To recap, the OnePlus Pad features an 11.6-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Full-HD+ resolution, and 500 nits brightness. Powering this tablet is MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9000 SoC, accompanied by a 9510mAh battery that supports 65W SuperVOOC charging. The Android tablet offers LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It’s lightweight at 552 grams and has a slim profile, measuring 6.5mm thick.

On the back, there’s a 13-megapixel camera with EIS for 4K video recording at 30fps. The front camera is 8 megapixels, supporting full-HD recording at 30fps. Currently, the OnePlus Pad is available only in a Wi-Fi variant, with the possibility of an LTE version in future models. As for audio, there’s no 3.5mm audio jack, possibly to promote OnePlus wireless earbuds.
Therefore, the rumoured OnePlus Pad Go may carry similar features. It will certainly include a relatively less powerful processor. Moreover, the display size could be more compact for customers to easily distinguish. The charging speed may also be capped at 67W or 80W.
Currently, the OnePlus Pad mainly faces stiff competition from Xiaomi and Samsung. All three OEMs also offer accessories (sold separately), including a Pen and keyboard to take on Apple.
