Air India on Tuesday announced that passengers holding confirmed flight tickets to and from Delhi between September 7 and 11 will be given a one-time waiver of applicable charges, incase they wish to change their date of travel or their flight in view of the upcoming G20 summit. Vistara has also made a similar dates for passengers holding flight tickets from September 8 to 11. On the other hand, Spicejet has requested its passengers to ensure a timely arrival at the airport as check-in counters close 60 minutes prior to departure.

Taking to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), the airline stated that only the fare difference for the rescheduled flight of the passengers, if any, would be chargeable. The G20 Summit is scheduled to take place in Delhi on September 9 and 10.

Vistara airlines have also made their announcement on their official ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter account requesting passengers travelling during the time of the G20 Summit to check the Vistara website for their flight status in order to avoid any inconvenience.
No statement was shared by the country’s largest airline IndiGo regarding flight operations during the summit.
The G-20 Summit will take place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. However, the delegates will also visit Rajghat, NGMA (National Gallery of Modern Art) and Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa during the summit.
The two-day G20 Summit from September 9 will see the attendance of top leaders, including US President Joe Biden, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed Bin Salman and Japan’s Fumio Kishida.

Meanwhile, Delhi Airport has issued a notice to airmen (NOTAM) ahead of the G20 Leaders’ Summit. As per the notice, no landing or take-off for non-scheduled flights of scheduled airline operators, and general aviation flights (non-scheduled charter flights) will be allowed at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport while the summit is underway.
However, scheduled flights will be allowed to operate normally. As per notice, special flights for the G20 summit will also be allowed to operate.
The notice has also said that the plan of special flights for the G20 dignitaries and their associated flights have been shared with Air Traffic Control (AIC).
In view of traffic regulations, passengers travelling to the airport are requested to make travel plans with sufficient time at hand and make maximum use of Metro services, especially the Airport Express Line (orange line) connecting New Delhi Station to Dwarka Sector 21 Station via IGI Airport T3.
