Checking NPS balance using UMANG App
UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is a government-developed app that helps people with various public services. Checking your NPS balance on UMANG is an easy process.
First, download the UMANG app on your smartphone, then follow these steps:
1- Open the UMANG app on your mobile phone.
2- Choose NPS on the AAP.
3- Among the options available, select “NPS” to proceed.
4- Within the NPS section, choose your specific Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA).
5- On the following page, tap the “Current Holding” option. Input your Permanent Retirement Account Number (PRAN) and password when prompted.
6- Finally, complete the process by tapping “Login” to view your account balance details.

Check NPS balance via SMS
Give a missed call to 9212993399 from your NPS-registered mobile number. In response, you’ll receive an SMS containing details about your account balance.

Check NPS balance through NSDL Website
1- The NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) website provides another platform for checking your NPS balance.
2- Access NSDL Portal: Start by visiting the NSDL portal.
3- Log in using your PRAN as the user ID and your account password.
4- Input the provided Captcha code.
5- Navigate to Holding Statement and within the “Transaction Statement” section, click on the “Holding Statement” option.
6- The screen will display with details about your total balance in your NPS account.
