Fintech giant Paytm today unveiled two 4G-enabled payment devices – the Paytm Pocket Soundbox and Paytm Music Soundbox, upgrades to the company’s hugely popular ‘Soundbox’ that debuted in 2019.
What Happened? The Paytm Pocket Soundbox, small enough to fit in your pocket like a debit card, provides mobile merchants with immediate audio alerts for payments. Its portable design, 5-day battery life, 4G connectivity, and built-in torch make it a fit for mobile workers such as cab drivers, electricians, delivery agents, and vendors.
The Paytm Music Soundbox not only sends out payment notifications but also doubles as a speaker, playing music from the phone via Bluetooth. It has a unique voice overlay feature allowing merchants to hear payment alerts over music. The device boasts a 10-day battery life, 4G connectivity, and a 4W speaker that gets plenty loud for small spaces.
