New Delhi: A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court by some Muslim community members seeking a stay on the protests called by the VHP after the violent protests that rocked Nuh district in Haryana on Monday evening.

The petitioner seeks the plea to be added to “hate speech” batch of petitions and has sought urgent hearing.
The plea seeks to stop the rallies announced by VHP-Bajrang Dal in Delhi-NCR following the Nuh communal violence.

Sr Adv CU Singh said, “This is a fresh IA in the hate speech case where a judgment was delivered, Shaheen Abdullah case. In Delhi yesterday it was said that 27 protest meetings are planned to protest against what happened at Nuh (Haryana).”
