Are you planning to undertake your banking related activities in the month of August? Well, then there are a few things which you need to keep in mind. So, in August, banks will remain closed for a total of 14 days. These include the second and fourth Saturdays and the four Sundays as well. In the next month, banks will remain closed on the occasion of Independence Day, Parsi New Year and Raksha Bandhan.

So, let’s take a look at the complete list of bank holidays in the next month.
Apart from the Sundays and the Second and Fourth Saturdays, banks will remain closed on these days in the month of August.
- August 8: Banks in Gangtok zone will not function on Tuesday on the occasion of Tendong Lho Rum Faat.
- August 12: Due to being the second Saturday, there will be a holiday in the banks.
- August 13: There is a weekly holiday in banks on Sunday.
- August 15: Banks in all zones including Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Gangtok, Guwahati, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Imphal and Jaipur will remain closed on the occasion of Independence Day.
- August 16: Banks in Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur zones will remain closed on the occasion of Parsi New Year.
- August 18: Banks in Guwahati zone will remain closed on the occasion of Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva.
- August 28: Banks will not function in Kochi and Trivandrum on the occasion of first Onam.
- August 29: On the occasion of Tiruonam, there will be a holiday in banks in Kochi and Trivandrum.
- August 30: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, there will be a holiday in the banks of Jaipur and Shimla zones.
