The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has allowed amalgamation of two flats offered under the ongoing First Come First Served housing scheme. This has been made to give applicants flexibility to increase the size of their flats, in case they buy two adjacent flats, according to a TOI report.

“If an applicant happens to buy two adjacent flats in this scheme of FCFS phase IV, they have the liberty of amalgamating the two by opening a common door through the common wall between them, subject to necessary structural approvals,” said DDA in a statement.
DDA launched a housing scheme on a first come first served basis for over 5,500 flats across all categories at various locations in the national capital on June 30, where 1BHK, 2BHK and 3BHK flats are being offered.

While 1BHK flats are being offered in Narela, Siraspur, Rohini, Lok Nayak Puram, 2BHK flats are being offered in Narela and Dwarka and 3BHK flats are being offered in Jasola. The bookings will be available from 12 pm on July 10.
“We are giving people the option to visit the flats and have deputed officials to guide them. The booking amount is Rs 50,000 for an EWS flat, Rs 1 Lakh for LIG, Rs 4 for MIG and Rs 10 Lakh for HIG flat,” a senior DDA official told TOI.
According to officials, around 4,000 registrations have been made so far and the scheme has been made online for the convenience of the public.
