Do you wish to try the upcoming iOS 17 on your iPhone before it becomes available to users later this year? For the first time ever, Apple is allowing non-developers to try out iOS 17 beta on their devices for free.
Usually, only developers who have subscribed to Apple’s Developer Program that costs $99 a year get access to beta software releases. Following this, a public beta is released as part of Apple’s Public Beta Software Program.

This year is different! Anyone who signs into Apple’s developer account website with their credentials can access the developer beta for iOS 17 as well. Essentially, any registered Apple users can download iOS 17, iPad OS 17, and macOS Sonoma betas without paying for the same.
It’s important to note that iOS 17 beta is not recommended for all users. Usually, betas have unresolved issues and some bugs here and there that are fixed before the public launch of the software. If you want to try it out, the best idea is to install it on your secondary device.
Before trying these steps, make sure your iPhone has iOS 16.4 or later.
