How to remove groups and messages as favourites on Gmail

In Gmail, the favourite icon is a star that may be used to identify certain messages and groups as favourites. When you click on a message or group’s star, it becomes yellow, signifying that it has been favourited.

Important messages or discussions are displayed in the “Starred” category in your left-hand navigation panel, making it simpler to find them later. Simply click on the yellow star again to remove a message or group from your favourites, and it will revert to its previous status.

You may also unsubscribe from a message or group by heading to the “Starred” category in your left-hand navigation panel, selecting the message or group you wish to unsubscribe from, and clicking on the yellow star symbol to deselect it.

STEPS TO REMOVE THE GROUP OR MESSAGES FROM THE FAVOURITE LIST:

Step 1: Navigate to your Gmail account.

Step 2: Find the message or group you wish to remove from your favourites.

Step 3: Look for the yellow star next to the message or group name.

Step 4: If it is yellow, it indicates that the message or group is now recognised as a favourite.

Step 5: To deselect it, click the yellow star symbol.

 Step 6: The star will revert to white, indicating that the message or group is no longer a favourite.
