Krushna Abhishek is set to return to The Kapil Sharma Show and the actor comedian says he is thrilled to be back with the unit as “all issues” have been finally resolved.
Krushna, who was known for his character Sapna on the show, decided to opt out the Kapil Sharma-led show before its latest season started in September due to “monetary differences”.
In an interview with Times of India, Krushna confirmed the development and said he is glad to be back. “It’s not a change of heart but a change of contract (laughs!). The contract had several concerns, including money, but all issues have been resolved. The show and the channel are like family, and I am glad to be back.”
Krushna said his character Sapna will have a smashing return on The Kapil Sharma Show and thanked the audience, who had been wanting to have him back on the show. The actor also shared that he received a warm reception on the first day of the rehearsal at Kapil’s residence on Sunday, where Kiku and Kapil greeted him warmly.

“There is no rivalry or one-upmanship, and we sit together to work on our script, we are doing the same even now. Kapil has suggested jokes, as he wants me to give my best since Sapna is back,” he added.
The Kapil Sharma Show, currently in its fourth season, was speculated to come to a close in June. But Kapil had told ETimes that a timeline isn’t in place yet to determine the season’s final airing date.
“It is not finalised yet. We have to go to the USA for our live tour in July and we will see what to do around that time. Having said that, even that’s too far,” he had said about the show which airs on Sony TV.
