The Delhi High Court on Monday sought a reply from the Centre on a public interest litigation seeking the linking of immovable and movable property documents of citizens with Aadhaar to curb corruption, black money generation, and ‘benami’ transactions.
A division bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Yashwant Varma asked the union ministries of Finance, Law, Housing and Urban Affairs, and Rural Development to file their response in this regard in four weeks.

A notice in the case was issued to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) earlier in July 2019.
The bench, which orally observed that it is a “good matter and let replies come”, listed the matter for further hearing on July 18.
