Opening your Gallery app only to discover that a priceless picture you’ve been holding onto is gone is one of the worst feelings you can experience. Android provides us with a number of options for saving and recovering photos, regardless of whether you unintentionally deleted them or something occurred to your phone and they are no longer there.

Google long ago replaced the default ‘Gallery’ app with ‘Google Photos’. For owners accustomed to the original, some makers pre-installed their gallery apps, such as Samsung Gallery, HTC Gallery, and Moto Gallery, or integrated the Google Gallery app into their customised operating systems.
STEPS TO CHECK THE PHOTOS TRASH FOLDER TO RECOVER:

- On your phone, open the ‘Photos’ program, then select ‘Library’ from the bottom menu
- Choose ‘Trash’ in the menu at the top. All removed photos are now visible to you in Photos. Continue to the next stage to manage them
- Tap on the item and choose ‘Restore’ to see how many days are remaining to preserve an image or photo. Not internal storage files, but Google Photos, are subject to the limit
- Tap ‘Select’ at the top or press and hold any object to reveal the selection circles for all of the images/photos in the Photos trash
- To recover as many pictures as you want, tap on them
- To restore the chosen pictures, click ‘Restore’ at the bottom.
