King Charles’ royal Land Rover is up for sale at auction because…

King Charles News: The sale is being handled by Collecting Cars who called the car “a handsome example of the Land Rover Discovery 3, with excellent documented royal provenance”.

King Charles royal Land Rover has been offered for sale at a motoring auction, Daily Express UK reported. Currently, the car is on its third owner in Ilminster and has now racked up 117,816 miles, the report said. The sale is being handled by Collecting Cars who called the car “a handsome example of the Land Rover Discovery 3, with excellent documented royal provenance”.

The vehicle has seats, as well as boasting 19-inch alloy wheels and is known to be a prefernce of Charles’ mother Late Queen Elizabeth II. King Charles, however, prefers his classic blue 1970 Aston Martin which was also gifted to him on his 21st birthday, in 1969, by the late Queen, the report said.

King Charles has often been known to drive himself to various royal engagements over the years. In 2008, Charles also made the decision of making his car more eco-friendly. His Aston Martin has been modified to run on bioethanol, made from wine and cheese, the report said, explaining that the car runs on a mixture of 8 percent bioethanol and 15 percent unleaded petrol.

King Charles has always been passionate about various environmental issues. and has championed issues like climate change, organic farming and global warming. The issues have remained high on his priority list for many years even before he ascended the throne in September last year.
