Paytm is an online payment network that helps users to make payments through their devices. You may also transfer and receive money from any bank account using the app’s Unified Payment Interface (UPI). The software is designed in a manner that assigns a UPI ID to each UPI user on Paytm. You can add a new UPI ID of your choosing at any moment if the necessity arises.

UPI ID is a one-of-a-kind bank account address that may be used to send and receive payments online. Users with a UPI ID (linked to a bank account) can conduct transactions with one another without providing sensitive information such as a bank account number or branch name.
UPI IDs are generated on many platforms and seem different. Paytm produces UPI IDs in the format of phonenumber@paytm. For creating a new primary UPI ID, you may hide your phone number, which may be present in the default one. This action helps to guarantee that your phone number remains private and secure from unauthorised usage.
STEPS TO REGISTER FOR A NEW UPI ID PAYTM:
Step 1: Open the Paytm app on your smartphone and touch the profile symbol in the upper left corner.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap on the UPI & Payment Settings item in the menu that appears.
Step 3: Next, in the settings button, scroll down and tap on the manage UPI IDs option.
Step 4: Choose the ‘Add new UPI ID’ option.
Step 5: Tap to choose the desired UPI ID from the possibilities before pressing the Continue button.
Step 6: Your new UPI ID will be set as the primary one, while your old UPI ID will be hidden from others but will still be operational. You can change or remove the new ID at any time.
