WhatsApp is one of the world’s most popular social networking sites. Everyday, thousands of images, videos, GIFs, and stickers are forwarded through the app. WhatsApp came up with a built-in payment option for its users in 2021. It enables them to deposit and receive funds into their bank accounts through the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
The payment system on WhatsApp enables UPI money transactions over the app. It saves bank account information from the phone number associated with the user’s account. In addition to sending and receiving money, SMS allows users to check their bank account balance, monitor payment history, and record a payment.

You may also use WhatsApp to report a payment after making an online payment with UPI. The status of the payment can also be checked if you report within the app by tapping on the transaction in the ‘History’ section.
This feature allows you to keep track of all your online payments made using WhatsApp. Apart from that, you may use the instant messaging app to check your bank account amount.
