Chhattisgarh Budget 2023 Highlights
Baghel announced that the state government will provide Rs 2,500 monthly allowance to unemployed youth in the 18-35 age group whose annual family income is below Rs 2.5 lakh.He also announced a hike in the monthly honorariums of anganwadi workers, home guards, village kotwars and others.
The monthly honorarium of anganwadi workers and sahayika (assistants) will be increased from Rs 6,500 to Rs 10,000 and from Rs 3,250 to Rs 5,000, respectively.A provision of Rs 250 crore has been made in the budget (for this purpose), Baghel told the Assembly.
The Chief Minister also proposed the Lite metro project between Raipur and Durg. He announced an international badminton academy.
He announced the creation of 4 new medical colleges that will be opened in Manendragarh, Gidam and Kabirdham. He also announced Chhattisgarh Jan Niwas Yojana.
He announced Rs 50 thousand supportive money for Kanya Vivah Yojana.
The amount of food assistance has been increased from 700 to 1200 rupees. Besides, for the students travelling to Kota to attend school, the government will organise hostels. The Kota state administration will construct a hostel for this purpose, he added.
