Gold, Silver Prices Today: Precious metals gold and silver fell to trade in the red on Tuesday. Yellow metal was trading 0.19 per cent lower in early trade on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Likewise, silver also lost its lustre and was down 0.42 per cent to Rs 63,656 per kg. Gold futures, slated to expire on April 5, fell around 100 points to trade at Rs 55,368 per 10 grams.
Gold prices, meanwhile, declined by Rs 185 to Rs 55,520 per 10 grams in the national capital on Monday amid weak global trends, according to HDFC Securities. The yellow metal had ended at Rs 55,705 per 10 grams in the previous trade. Silver also plummeted by Rs 798 to Rs 63,227 per kg.

“Spot gold prices in the Delhi markets traded at Rs 55,520 per 10 grams, down Rs 185 per 10 grams,” said Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst – Commodities at HDFC Securities.

International Gold, Silver Prices
Gold prices ticked up on Monday as the dollar retreated, although worries of further interest rate hikes from the US Federal Reserve kept bullion near a two-month low. Spot gold rose 0.4 per cent to $1,817.69 an ounce by 1:45 pm ET (1845 GMT). US gold futures were up 0.4 per cent to settle at $1,824.90.
Spot silver dipped 0.5 per cent to $20.67 per ounce.
