Gold, Silver Prices Today: After gold prices ticked lower in the international market on Thursday following the release of the minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting, the prices of gold and silver declined sharply on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Thursday. Gold futures, maturing on April 5, fell by 0.18% or Rs 103 and stood at Rs 56,065 per 10 grams at around 8.37 am.
Likewise, silver futures, maturing on March 3, declined sharply in teh early trade with the metal falling by 0.99% or Rs 625 to remain at Rs 65, 400 per kg on the MCX.
The yellow metal was at 56,168 per 10 grams and silver at Rs 66,052 when the market closed on Wednesday.

Gold prices in international markets
Gold price was on the lower side on Thursday after minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting indicated that the US central bank would likely keep interest rates higher for longer to check high inflation.
Spot gold dropped 0.1% at $1,823.69 per ounce, as of 0039 GMT while U.S. gold futures declined 0.5% to $1,833.10.
Spot silver was little changed at $21.51 per ounce, platinum fell 0.3% to $945.84 and palladium edged 0.2% lower to $1,479.59, reported Economic Times.
