One of the major festivals of the country that falls on the Bhadrapada month is the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha, called Ganesh Chaturthi. Sharing the similarity of the festival to Ganesh Chaturthi, Madhyahna Vyapini Purvaviddha Chaturthi is known as Ganesh Jayanti. The other names of Ganesh Jayanti are called Magha Shukla Chaturthi, Tilkund Chaturthi, and Varad Chaturthi.

Devotees wake up early in the morning to clean their houses and take a holy bath.
After taking a bath, they wear clean clothes and start the rituals for the worship of Lord Ganesha.
The idol or photograph of Lord Ganesha is placed in a room as a symbol of Bapa.
Then the turmeric and sindoor powder is applied.

Cowdung is also provided for worship as a sacred form for the worship of Lord Ganesha.
A special dish on Til is prepared and offered to Lord Ganesha. Then it is distributed among the devotees.
