New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi was on Wednesday admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad after her health deteriorated last night.
The hospital has said 100-year-old Heeraben Modi’s condition is stable.

“UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre, Ahmedabad hospital’s spokesperson hereby informing that Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Mother is admitted at UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre, Ahmedabad & her health condition is stable,” said a press release by the Ahmedabad hospital.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and his chief principal secretary K Kailashnathan reached the hospital to inquire about her health.
Prime Minister Modi has also left for Gujarat today afternoon to meet his ailing mother.
According to police sources, the Ahmedabad airport area has been declared a no-fly zone for drones, and security has also been stepped up.

PM Modi recently visited his mother when he was in Gujarat for the election campaign for the recently-held state polls.
He had also visited her on her 99th birthday in June and had written an emotional blog titled ‘Mother’.
