The report further reveals the most recent update of the Google Street View app, version 2.0.0.484371618, is available on Google Play Store. “When we decompile these files (called APKs, in the case of Android apps), we’re able to see various lines of code within that hint at possible future features. Keep in mind that Google may or may not ever ship these features, and our interpretation of what they are may be imperfect,” the report says about the APK Insight of the app.
However, this latest version is said to miss a lot of features. The 9to5Google report says that Google has organised several shutdown notices for the Street View app, which are yet to be visible in the app. Though, there is one feature which is vanishing from the Street View app is the Photo Paths, the report confirmed. The Photo Paths feature was introduced while aiming to make everyone contribute with their smartphone to simply upload 2D photos of streets or paths which have never been uploaded yet.
