The Haryana government has announced that no fares will be charged from candidates appearing for the upcoming state’s common eligibility test (CET) in the roadways buses operated by the state government.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has also appealed to the general public to make their travel only if absolutely necessary on November 5 and 6 so that the candidates of CET can reach the centres on time.
The chief minister said that the CET will be held on November 5 and 6 and 11 lakh candidates have applied for Group C level exams.
Khattar said that all the preparations have been made at the 2,000 centres in the state for the examination.
Khattar said that centres will not be set up in five districts — Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Jind and Nuh — which are prone to malpractice. He added that from next time onwards, centres will be built in good schools of these districts.
The exam will be conducted in two shifts on both days and the result is expected by December 15. After five months, another Group D exam will be conducted.
