NEW DELHI: The telecom ministry on Monday said it has granted approval to 42 companies, including 28 MSMEs, under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for telecom and networking products. Seventeen companies applied for additional incentive of 1% under design-led manufacturing criteria.
The 42 companies have committed investment of Rs 4,115 crore, which will generate additional sales of Rs 2.5 Lakh crore and create fresh employment of more than 44,000 over the scheme period. Companies who bagged the PLI scheme, include Samsung, Rising Stars, Jabil, Dixon, Vihan Networks and Tejas.
