Who isn’t a fan of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah? The show has been running since 14 years and it is always a treat to watch the show. For many of us, it has been like our daily dose with breakfast, isn’t it? However, since many years, we all have been missing Daya ben in the show.
Disha Vakani won hearts with her amazing performance as Daya ben. Her unique style of garba, her cute jokes and her way of speaking as Daya has become the most important part of the show. It is difficult to imagine anyone else in place of Disha Vakani as Daya.
Disha Vakani had earlier revealed that because of the voice she used to make as Daya she had throat infections. Post that, a few days ago it was reported that Disha Vakani is suffering from throat cancer. This news left everyone shocked but there was no confirmation on the same.
Now, her brother Mayur Vakani who plays Sunderlal in the show has reacted to the news. Speaking to ETimes, he said that these kind of rumours keep doing the rounds in the media and there is no truth to it.
“She is hale and hearty and nothing of this is true. Every day we get to hear baseless rumours about her but fans should not believe any of these, “he shared. Disha Vakani’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah co-star Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal aka Mrs Roshan Sodhi also reacted to these rumours.
She said that she has been in touch with Disha and these rumours cannot be true. She shared that she spoke to Disha in August for their daughters’ dance classes and Disha was fine.

Recently, it was reported that Kajal Pisal would be replacing Disha Vakani as Daya ben in the show. The producer of the show, Asit Kumarr Modi has said that Daya ben will return soon.
