Reliance Retail launches fashion & lifestyle departmental store ‘Reliance Centro’

Reliance Retail on Tuesday announced the launch of its fashion & lifestyle departmental store Reliance Centro. The retailer has launched its first such store in Vasant Kunj, Delhi.

Reliance Centro’s core offerings are curated to make it a one-stop fashion destination for its mid-premium segment customers, the company said in a statement.

The 75,000 sq ft store is the first Reliance Centro outlet, offering a range of over 300 brands and around 20,000 style options, the company said. The store offers categories including apparel, footwear, cosmetics, lingerie, sportswear to luggage and accessories with over 300 Indian and International brands.

“This new shopping destination has a special inaugural offer for its customers, besides great relevant fashion at amazing prices. The inaugural offer to get Rs 1500 off on shopping worth Rs.3999 or get Rs.2000 off on shopping worth Rs Rs.4999 and above,” Reliance Retail said in a statement.

Reliance Retail Limited is a subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd, the holding company of all the retail companies under the RIL (Reliance Industries Limited) group. RRVL reported a consolidated turnover of Rs 1,99,704 crore ($ 26.3 billion) and a net profit of Rs 7,055 crore ($ 931 million) for the year ended March 31, 2022.

Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance has been betting big on its retail venture. It invested around Rs 30,000 crore in its retail business push last fiscal, as per its latest annual report.

In the last fiscal, Reliance added 2,500 stores, taking the total store count to 15,196, the annual report 2021-22 stated. It also added 11.1 million square feet of warehousing space during the year, nearly doubling the warehousing space to 22.7 million square feet.

During the fiscal year, Reliance Retail added over 1.50 lakh jobs, taking its total headcount to 3.61 lakh. The company strengthened its sourcing ecosystem, working closely with producers, MSMEs, service providers, and local and international brand companies.
