Vastu Purusha, the god for the construction of structures and buildings, is blessed by Lord Brahma. He is worshipped and offered prasad before construction work begins. Bhrugu, Aatri, Vashistha, Viswakarma, Maya, Narad, Nagnajit, Lord Shiv, Indra, Kumar, Nandiswar, Shaunak, Grug, Lord Basudev, Anirudh, Shukra and Brihaspati are preceptors of Vastu Shastra.

According to Vastu Shastra, from both north to east directions, the land should remain low-lying.
The Earth seems to be sloppy from north to east and therefore land should remain inclined.
Vastu has it that big trees should not be present in the north to east direction.
Science – Sun rays are a rich source of Vitamin D. Therefore, if big trees are planted from north to east direction, sun rays won’t enter the house. In order to get Vitamin- D, small trees should be planted.
Vastu says the ceiling of a house should be inclined from north to east direction.
Science – When rainwater falls from terrace, the wind will splash it into the house. As wind mostly blows from south, the terrace is constructed with an inclination from north to east direction.
