BHUBANESWAR: With the BJP turning its focus on Odisha, the ruling BJD has decided to further increase the party’s organisational activities at the grassroots level by holding rallies and meetings at regular intervals. Besides, the office-bearers of the party will also be reconstituted within a week.
Sources in the BJD said that organisational meets of the party will now be made a regular affair. The BJD’s organisational apparatus is well prepared following the party’s massive victories in the 2022 panchayat and urban local body elections. Senior leaders have been asked to visit districts regularly and interact with the people to counter the campaign of the Opposition political parties.
Reacting to the visit of seven central ministers to Odisha during the last two days, senior BJD leader Prasanna Acharya said that such activities will have no impact in the state. Activities by the BJD always go on irrespective of whether there is an election or not, he said and added that the party’s organisation is always ready.
