The iPhone 14 Pro Max will not only be the most expensive iPhone launching at the Apple event tonight but will also be the model to get major upgrades. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is a great device and gets almost all of it right, but the iPhone 14 Pro Max is tipped to be even better.
Firstly, Apple’s Far Out event will be hosted tonight at 10:30AM IST on Apple’s official website, YouTube channel, and social media handles.
At the launch event tonight, Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to unveil a range of hardware products including the upcoming iPhone lineup, possibly dubbed the iPhone 14 series. In addition, the company is expected to announce new iPads, brand new AirPods, Apple Watch Series 8, Watch SE 2, and also a rugged Apple Watch. Notably, none of these products have been confirmed as of yet.
In the iPhone 14 series, Apple is expected to unveil four new models, including the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max/Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Considering the reports, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is going to offer the most upgrades in terms of both design as well as specifications. Let’s take a close look at everything we know about the iPhone 14 Pro Max so far.
-Just like every Pro Max model, the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro Max will offer a bigger screen that will supposedly measure around 6.7-inches. This year, the company is expected to offer an Always-on display with its Pro models, which include the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Now, this will be the first time that we will see iPhones with an Always-on display, which many Android phones have offered in the last few years.
-There will be a significant design change as well. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is expected to ditch the wide notch design and offer a pill-shaped design. Notably, the new design is aimed to offer a bigger screen space and a better multimedia experience as well. Reports suggest that the pill-shaped design will be limited only to Pro models.
-This year, reports suggest, all four iPhone models may not come with the latest generation chipset dubbed the A16 Bionic chip. It is said that the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Max will come with an enhanced version of the A15 Bionic chip while the A16 Bionic chip will power both the Pro models. Notably, some of the media reports suggest that the A16 Bionic chip will see minor upgrades over the A15 Bionic chip. Apple is yet to reveal official details.
-iPhone 14 Pro models are also expected to offer better camera performance when compared to the iPhone 13 Pro models. As per reports, the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will offer a 48-megapixel primary camera, which is the very first time for an iPhone. The iPhone 13 series offers a 12-megapixel primary camera. It should be noted that the 48-megapixel camera is likely to be limited only to the Pro models.
-Some media reports suggest that the iPhone 14 Pro models including the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max may come with satellite connectivity. To recall, Apple was testing the feature with iPhone 13 series initially but the phones didn’t support satellite connectivity feature. Looks like, the iPhone 14 Pro models will come with satellite connectivity and allow users to make calls or send messages in areas with limited cellular connectivity.
Well, these features are anticipated and Apple is yet to confirm them. Right now, we can only hope to see all these rumoured features in the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro Max.
