Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Saturday said Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia might be the first accused in the excise policy scam case but AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is the kingpin.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Saturday hit back at Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and said the AAP minister might be the number one accused in the Excise policy scam but the kingpin is Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Manish Sisodia held a press conference earlier in the day where he denied the allegations against him and said he was being targeted for holding a post in Kejriwal’s cabinet.
Anurag Thakur slammed Sisodia and said, “Today’s press conference clearly showed how the colour on his face was gone after his scam. He couldn’t even answer any questions.” Thakur also challenged Arvind Kejriwal to “come in front of the nation and answer me within 24 hours”.
He took a dig at Manish Sisodia and said the Delhi education minister might have changed the spelling of his name to “M O N E Y SHH” as he only makes money and keeps silent.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also responded to Sisodia’s claim that the 2024 Lok Sabha election will be between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal and said, “Good for the BJP if Arvind Kejriwal is the opposition’s face for the 2024 election because many have not even heard his name. We will win by a bigger margin.”
Earlier on Friday too, Anurag Thakur attacked Arvind Kejriwal and said the Delhi government provided free water, electricity and ration to Rohingyas and distributed ‘revdis’ to them.
Thakur said, “Rohingyas who live here and are illegal migrants are given free water, electricity, ration; now even flats are to be given to them by the Delhi government… they have lied again, distributed ‘Revdis’… why could he (CM Kejriwal) not ready detention centers.”
