SGX Nifty, which hints at opening trend of the Indian market, was trading lower by nearly 50 points on the Singaporean exchange in early trade on Monday.

Likewise, other Asian indices too were trading in the negative territory on Monday morning. Japanese Nikkei 225 was trading lower by 0.7%, Hang Seng Index at the Hong Kong Exchange dropped lower by 0.8% and Chinese Shanghai Composite declined 0.3% in the opening trade on Monday.
