Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, after a meeting on July 16, said that the renaming of Aurangabad as Sambhajinagar, Osmanabad as Dharashiv and Navi Mumbai after leading farmers’ leader DB Patil has been approved by the cabinet.
Eknath Shinde, on Friday, had said that the decision will be taken during the next cabinet meeting.
He claimed that the decision taken by the MVA cabinet especially after the Governor had ordered a floor test was illegal and therefore the decision will be taken in a legal manner with the completion of necessary procedural formalities in the next cabinet.
