PANAJI: The directorate of archives and archaeology has begun a survey to identify ruins of temples that were demolished by the Portuguese, chief minister Pramod Sawant said on Thursday.
Explaining about the government’s intentions, Sawant said that the department will survey only those historic ruins which are in the government’s possession and where the land is vacant.
