We have already witnessed a bunch of smartphone launches in April. But, it seems that companies are not done yet as several brands have scheduled launch events for the coming weeks. OnePlus is set to host a new event on April 28, where it is expected to announce two new phones as well as wireless earbuds. Xiaomi is also gearing up to unveil its flagship 12 Pro phone. We might also see the launch of the Redmi 10A on April 20. If you are interested in knowing about the upcoming phone launches, then keep reading to know more.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite
As of now, there is no official confirmation on whether the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will launch in India or not. The company has just revealed that a new OnePlus event will take place on April 28. On this day, it is said to launch the Nord CE 2 Lite, which is expected to cost around Rs 20,000 in India. The name suggests that this will be a toned-down version of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 that was recently launched in India with a starting price of Rs 23,999.
The device is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip, and a 6.58-inch 120Hz FHD+ screen. It will reportedly offer a triple rear camera setup, including a 64-megapixel sensor, a 2-megapixel monochrome camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. For selfies, there could be a 16—megapixel. Since this one is a cheaper Nord CE series model, it will likely lack an Alert Slider. The leaks also claim that OnePlus will add a typical 5,000mAh battery inside the Nord CE 2 Lite, which will likely have support for 33W fast charging.
Xiaomi 12 Pro
While there is still no confirmation on the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite or not, we do know when the Xiaomi 12 Pro will arrive in India. The flagship device is confirmed to launch on April 27. It is already available in the international markets and it is now coming to India, so the specifications of the handset are mostly known.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s top-notch Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, which is already powering several 2022 flagship phones. Some of these are the OnePlus 10 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S22, and Realme GT 2 Pro. The Xiaomi 12 Pro is tipped to cost around Rs 65,000. This suggests that Xiaomi is planning to keep the price slightly lower than the OnePlus 10 Pro to make the deal more attractive.
Under the hood, Xiaomi has included a 4,600mAh battery unit, and also provided support for fast charging. The company ships a 120W fast charger in the box, along with the phone. It even has support for 50W wireless and 10W reverse charging. Apart from this, the device even has features like stereo speakers and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The panel operates at 2K resolution, so users will be getting one of the best displays.
Realme Narzo 50A Prime
Realme is expected to launch one more smartphone in India. The company recently announced a bunch of devices such as the Realme GT 2 Pro, Realme 9 SE and more. It is now reportedly planning to unveil the Realme Narzo 50A Prime. Tipster Paras Guglani claims that the launch will take place on April 30.
This will likely be a budget phone that is already available in Indonesia. The device is shipping with a massive 6.6-inch FHD+ display and a typical 5,000mAh battery that you usually get on most phones these days. The Realme Narzo 50A Prime has a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel main camera and two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and portrait shots. Realme has also added support for 18W fast charging, which will help quickly top up the 5,000mAh battery.
OnePlus 10R
Again, the company hasn’t confirmed which phone it is planning to launch in India. The leaks so far have suggested that the OnePlus 10R could be announced at the same event. It will be a successor to the OnePlus 9R. A recent report by 91Mobiles claimed that OnePlus India’s CEO Navnit Nakra has confirmed that the brand will soon bring a new OnePlus R series phone, which means that the OnePlus 10R is on the way.
While there is no official confirmation of this device, the specifications and design of the OnePlus 10R have already surfaced online. Tipster Yogesh Brar asserted that the OnePlus 10R will feature a Mediatek 8100 SoC, a 6.7-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display, and a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup similar to the OnePlus 9RT.
The OnePlus 10R is expected to have stereo speakers, but it could miss out on the Alert slider and the 3.5mm headphone jack. OnePlus may announce two variants of the device and one of them could feature a 4,500mAh battery with support for 150W fast charging. The other one is said to have a bigger 5,000mAh unit with 80W charging.
Redmi 10A
Xiaomi hasn’t yet confirmed the India launch of the Redmi 10A, but it is tipped to announce this device on April 20. It will be a sequel to the Redmi 9A smartphone that was launched around two years back, so the new version is due for an upgrade. This year, the company might finally launch this entry-level phone. The Redmi 10A is already available in China, but the specifications are mostly similar to its predecessor. This suggests that the Redmi 10A will be a minor upgrade over the 9A. There are chances that the company might decide to tweak some features of the handset to offer users a better overall phone at a lower price.
The Chinese model of the Redmi 10A is drawing power from the same MediaTek Helio G25 SoC. It features a 5,000mAh battery, a 6.53-inch HD+ display, and a single 13-megapixel camera at the back. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel sensor. Xiaomi has offered a modern design at a cheaper price point. In India, the Redmi 10A is expected to be priced under Rs 10,000 segment.
