A nurse and her husband were arrested on Tuesday for stealing cash and jewellery worth Rs 2.4 crore from actor Sonam Kapoor’s residence at Amrita Shergill Marg, New Delhi.
The nurse, Aparna Ruth Wilson, was a caregiver for the actor’s mother-in-law, while her husband, Naresh Kumar Sagar, worked as an accountant at a private firm in Shakarpur.
“The Delhi Police Crime Branch along with a team of the Special Staff Branch of the New Delhi district conducted a raid in Sarita Vihar on Tuesday night. They apprehended Wilson and her husband,” a senior police officer said, as reported by news agency PTI.
However, the stolen jewellery and cash are yet to be recovered.
SONAM KAPOOR’S RESIDENCE ROBBED
The robbery took place on February 11 and a case was registered on February 23 at the Tughlaq Road Police Station after a complaint was filed by their house manager.
Reportedly, over 20 people are employed at the actor’s residence.
Further investigations are underway with most of the people working at the actor’s house already questioned.
The case has been transferred to the Special Staff Branch of the New Delhi district for investigation.
