The S&P BSE Sensex fell 575.46 points or 0.97% at 59,034.95. The Nifty 50 index shed 168.10 points or 0.94% at 17,639.55. The 50-unit index has fallen 2.3% in three straight sessions. Ruchi Soya: The equity shares that were allotted in the follow-on public offer (FPO) will be listed on the stock exchanges today, i.e., on Friday, April 8, 2022. The company board has approved the allotment of 6,61,53,846 equity shares aggregating to Rs 4,300 crore. The allotment price has been fixed at Rs 650 apiece.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd: The company on Thursday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 126.6 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022. It had posted a consolidated loss of Rs 344.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Its revenue from operations declined by 21.5% YoY to Rs 1,071 crore in the period under consideration as against Rs 1,364.5 crore posted last year. The company’s EBITDA loss stood at Rs 124.2 crore in Q4FY22 as against an EBITDA loss of Rs 424.3 crore posted in Q4FY21.
Indiabulls Real Estate: The Board of Directors of the Company on Thursday authorised the opening of qualified institutions placement (QIP) of equity shares at a floor price of Rs 106.38 per share. The company may at its discretion offer a discount of not more than 5% on the floor price for the Issue. The Board will meet on April 12, 2022, to consider and approve the Issue price, including a discount if any thereto.
Mahindra & Mahindra: The Indian carmaker on Thursday said that the deal to sell debt-ridden, SsangYong Motor Company (SYMC), to South Korean electric bus maker Edison Motors Co had been terminated. The deal was terminated by Ssangyong, after consultation with the Seoul Bankruptcy Court, due to Edison’s inability to deposit the bid amount as per the terms of the investment agreement. In addition, the Edison Consortium has appealed against the termination of the agreement. The total deal stood at Rs 1,882 crore (USD 254.65 million).
Sobha Ltd: The real estate firm in its update on the real estate operations for the quarter ended March 31, 2022, said, the company achieved its best-ever sales volume and sale value during FY22 despite operational hurdles at the start of the quarter due to Omicron wave. Bookings declined to 234 units in Q4FY22 Vs 421 units in Q4FY21.
Area booked reduced to 5.24 lakh square feet in Q4FY22 Vs 10.63 lakh square feet in Q4FY21.
Booking value reduced to Rs 922 crore in Q4FY22 Vs Rs 1,957 crore in Q4FY21.
Booking value in FY22 stood at Rs 3,886 Crore (an increase of ~18.5% over FY21) is the best ever annual booking achieved by the Company.
Cholamandalam Investment: The company has reported its business performance for the quarter ended March 31, 2022, and said its disbursements for Q4FY22 stood approximately at Rs 12,718 crore as against Rs 8,071 crore in Q4FY21 which is a growth of 58% YoY. Disbursements in Vehicle Finance business grew by 43% YoY to approximately Rs 8785 crore in Q4FY22. Loan Against Property business grew disbursements by 57% YoY to approximately Rs 1870 crore in Q4FY22. Disbursements in Home Loans grew by 2% YoY at Rs 549 crore for Q4FY22. Apart from this, the new businesses launched last year together made disbursals of Rs 1514 crore for Q4FY22. Collection Efficiency on billing improved across all Product segments and stood at 138% in Q4FY22 as against 120% in Q4FY21. This will result in strengthening the asset quality position of the Company. The Company continues to hold a strong liquidity position with Rs 5575 crore as cash balance as at end of March 2022 (including Rs.1500 Crores invested in Gsec shown under investments), with a total liquidity position of Rs. 7,400 crores (including undrawn sanctioned lines). The ALM is comfortable with no negative cumulative mismatches across all time buckets.
Jindal Stainless Ltd: Sales volume grew 6% YoY to 2.69 lakh metric tons in Q4FY22.
JSW Ispat Special Products: Crude steel production grew 11% YoY to 0.17 metric tons v/s 0.15 metric tons.

NTPC: Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) will form an equal joint venture with state-run NTPC Ltd to set up an ultra mega solar park in Maharashtra with 2500 MW generation capacity.
