New Delhi: With Yogi Adityanath all set to be sworn-in as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second consecutive term later in the day, it is now being keenly watched as to which leaders will find a place in the new Cabinet.
A list of 70 candidates has been prepared and around 50 ministers will take oath. At least 22 ministers from the previous Uttar Pradesh Cabinet will be dropped this time.
Around five leaders, who are not members of the state legislature, will be made ministers.
The state will have two deputy chief ministers, but Dinesh Sharma will not be given the opportunity again.
Apna Dal president Ashish Patel and Nishad Party chief will be inducted into the Cabinet.
Besides, there will be five women ministers, including Baby Rani Maurya, Sarita Bhadauria and Anjula Mahour.
In addition, Brajesh Pathak, J P S Rathore, Nitin Agarwal, Asim Arun, Kapil Dev Agarwal, Ravindra Jaiswal, Narendra Kumar Kashyap, Nand Kumar Nandi, Dharampal Singh and Bhupendra Singh will be the prominent ministers.
Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh will also be included in the Cabinet.
Adityanath’s swearing-in ceremony will be held at Lucknow’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.
The ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence ministerRajnath Singh and the Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states among others.
Earlier on Thursday, Adityanath was elected the BJP legislature party leader of in Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP-led alliance had won 273 seats in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly in the recent polls.
