Uttarakhand Assembly Polls 2022: Poll fervour is at its peak and D-day is here! The counting of votes for the recently held elections to the 70-member Uttarakhand Assembly began at 8 am today (March 10). Polling in Uttarakhand took place on February 14 and the counting of votes is taking place on March 10. BJP is ahead in 45 seats.
Meanwhile, earlier in the week, the Zee News exit poll predicted a close fight between the ruling BJP and the Congress in Uttarakhand. According to the projections for the hill state of Uttarakhand, Congress led by former chief minister Harish Rawat is expected to win around 35-40 seats. While Congress is predicted to make a strong comeback in the hill state, the ruling BJP is likely to win over 25 seats.
