Larsen and Toubro (L&T), a Mumbai-based engineering, manufacturing and construction services conglomerate, is hiring women professionals who were on a career break due to any significant reason, under their new initiative called ‘Renew: Career re-entry for women’ across various domains.
“Renew is an initiative, which stems from L&T’s strong belief in diversity and equal career opportunities for all. It is aimed at providing a platform through which women professionals can re-enter the corporate world after a career break,” says the company on their official website.
L&T has a headcount of 50,000 people across the globe. The company also claims that their 50% of the workforce is under the age of 30 and every year inducts large batches of fresh engineering graduates.
Who can apply under this programme?
- The programme is strictly for women who were on a career break and now wish to step back into the job industry.
- Candidate should have done Bachelor’s in Engineering (B.E)/Bachelor’s in technology (B.Tech)/Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Bachelor of Legislative Law or Legum Baccalaureus (LLB)/Chartered Accountant (CA)/Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWA) cleared in maximum 2 attempts.
- These are the departments in which candidates can apply for — Audit, Finance, Accounting, Engineering – Design, Project Management, Information Technology, Human Resource Management, Legal, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
How the candidates will be selected under Renew: Career re-entry for women programme?
- Candidates who are interested in the opportunity will have to register on the official website and upload a copy of their updated resume.
- Resumes received will undergo a round of internal screening. After screening, resumes will be shared with the concerned departments (this is subject to vacancies in the respective department at a given point in time).
- Applicants whose resume clears the initial round of resume screening will go through a telephonic interview.
- Candidates who have cleared the previous round will be invited for a round of interview with the respective hiring managers and the department heads.
